Scarface (1983)

Scarface (1983), directed by Brian De Palma and written by Oliver Stone, is a crime film starring Al Pacino as Tony Montana, a Cuban immigrant who arrives in Miami during the Mariel boatlift of 1980. Tony quickly rises through the ranks of the drug world, building an empire through cocaine trafficking, but his greed, paranoia, and violent nature lead to his downfall. 
The film follows his rise and fall, exploring themes of power, corruption, and the American Dream. Michelle Pfeiffer and Steven Bauer play major supporting roles. 
The film is a remake of the 1932 film of the same name and has become a cultural icon.
