This UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage event attracts tens of thousands of visitors with towering floats decorated with millions of dahlias and other materials.
The day includes a Children's Parade (10:00 AM), an Afternoon Parade (2:00 PM), and an Evening Parade (8:30 PM), with musical accompaniment from top bands, marching bands, and street theater.
The week-long festival offers additional activities such as the Dahlia Princess pageant and a Food & Flowers Festival.
Volunteers and float builders work for months on this colorful tradition, which has existed since 1905.
