Pella

Pella is a regional unit in Central Macedonia, Greece, with Edessa as its capital and Giannitsa as its largest city. 

The area is historically known as the ancient capital of Macedonia and the birthplace of Alexander the Great. 

Pella boasts fertile plains, Mount Voras with the Kaimaktsalan ski resort, and the Pozar thermal baths.
