Burj Khalifa – Dubai

The Burj Khalifa in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, at 829.8 meters, is the world's tallest building.
Designed by Adrian Smith of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, it opened in 2010 after construction began in 2004.
The iconic, needle-shaped silhouette, inspired by the shape of a desert flower, houses luxury apartments, offices, a hotel (the Armani Hotel), restaurants, and observation decks on the 124th and 148th floors. Construction cost approximately USD 1.5 billion.
The building symbolizes Dubai's ambition and economic growth, but has also sparked debate about the working conditions of migrant workers.
