Flower Parade Zundert

The Flower Parade Zundert is the largest flower parade in the world, held annually on the first Sunday of September in Zundert, North Brabant. 

The event, which started in 1936, attracts tens of thousands of visitors. 

Twenty neighbourhoods build giant floats, completely decorated with dahlias, which compete for the originality and beauty prize. 

The parade is a UNESCO Intangible Heritage and includes a parade, festive activities and an exhibition of the floats on Monday. 

Volunteer work and a sense of community are central, with weeks of preparation by the neighbourhoods.
