Flag of South Sudan

The flag of South Sudan consists of three horizontal stripes (black, red, and green) separated by narrow white stripes. 

On the hoist side is a sky-blue equilateral triangle containing a yellow five-pointed star. 

The ratio is 1:2. 

The flag was adopted in 2005 (originally as the flag of the Sudanese People's Liberation Movement) and has been the national flag since independence on July 9, 2011. 

Symbolism of the colors: 

Black: the people of South Sudan. 

Red: the blood shed for independence. 

Green: agriculture, natural resources, and progress. 

White: peace. 

Blue: the Nile as a source of life. 

Yellow: unity, hope, and determination. 

The flag resembles those of Sudan and Kenya, but has its own meaning and the yellow star as a distinctive element.

Estes Park

Estes Park is a charming mountain town in Colorado (USA), located in the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of about 2,300 feet, approximately 110 km northwest of Denver. 

It is best known as the eastern gateway and headquarters of Rocky Mountain National Park.

The town lies in a natural meadow (a “park”) surrounded by forests and mountains, on the Big Thompson River. 

Estes Park is a popular tourist destination with activities such as hiking, wildlife spotting (elks, bighorn sheep), shopping in the cozy town center, and the famous Stanley Hotel (inspiration for Stephen King's The Shining). 

It is a year-round vacation destination for nature and outdoor enthusiasts.
