After a carnival breakfast at Café Voorwaarts or 't Wagenhuis, couples dance (foxtrot, jive, waltz) on a floor with five cones, which they are not allowed to touch.
A jury assesses the dance, cone contact, and whether couples stay within the lines.
The tradition, organized by the cafés, village council, and local history society, attracts locals and former residents, but is struggling with declining attendance.
There are ideas to revitalize the event, such as involving young people and adding a female jury member.
