Anıtlı (Mardin)

Anıtlı (also known as Hah or Ḥāḥ) is a small neighborhood/village in the Midyat district of the Mardin province in southeastern Turkey, in the historical region of Tur Abdin. 
It is located approximately 22 km from Midyat and 87 km from Mardin city.
The population numbers around 165 inhabitants (2024) and consists mainly of Assyrian/Syrian Christians of the Syriac Orthodox Church. 

Anıtlı is known for its old stone architecture, traditional houses, and important historical churches, including the Meryem Ana Church (Yoldath Aloho / Church of Our Lady, possibly from the 5th century) and the ruins of the Mor Sobo Cathedral. 
The village has roots reaching back to the Assyrian period and played a role in the early Christian history of the region. 
In 2025, it was included in the UNWTO list of “Best Tourism Villages” thanks to its cultural heritage, religious tourism, and well-preserved traditional way of life.

Sinop

Sinop is a province in northern Turkey, situated on the Black Sea (the northernmost point of Turkey). Capital: Sinop (the city) 
Population: approx. 220,000 inhabitants (2023) Area: 5,862 km² 
Nickname: “The happiest city in Turkey” (often ranked high in quality of life surveys) 
Known for: Historic prison (Sinop Prison) – made famous by poems and films The statue of Diogenes (the philosopher who lived in a barrel and sent Alexander the Great away) 
Beautiful nature: forests, beaches, and Cape İnceburun (the northernmost point of Anatolia) Hamsi (anchovy) – the province is one of the most important anchovy fishing areas 
Climate: Typical Black Sea climate: mild winters, warm summers, and high rainfall (green and wooded).

In short: a peaceful, green, and historic coastal province with a relaxed atmosphere, far from mass tourism.

Şırnak

Şırnak Province (Turkish: Şırnak ili, Kurdish: Parêzgeha Şirnex) is a province in southeastern Turkey, in the Southeastern Anatolia Region, bordering Iraq and Syria. 
The province, established in 1990 from parts of Siirt, Hakkâri, and Mardin, covers an area of ​​7,078 km². 
The capital is Şırnak City. 
The landscape consists of plateaus with rivers such as the Tigris and mountains such as the Cudi (2,089 m). 
Agriculture (wheat, barley, lentils, cotton, pomegranates) and livestock (sheep, goats) form the economic base, in addition to cross-border trade. Şırnak is historically significant, possibly linked to the "City of Noah" through the nearby Cudi Mountain. 
The province is also a flashpoint in the Turkish-Kurdish conflict, with incidents such as the 1992 attacks and the 2015-16 clashes causing extensive damage. 
Tourist attractions include historical sites such as the Virgin Mary Church in Cizre and nature reserves.

Sivas

Sivas is a province in East-Central Anatolia, Turkey and the second largest province in terms of area after Konya. 
The capital is the city of Sivas, located at an altitude of 1,278 meters in the valley of the Kızılırmak River. 
In 2022, the province had a population of 634,924, mainly Turks, with Kurdish and Zaza minorities in the east and a significant Alevi community. 
The economy is based on agriculture (cereals, potatoes, sugar beets), industry (carpets, cement, textiles) and mining (iron ore in Divriği). 
Sivas is a historical hub on the Silk Road and played a crucial role in the Turkish War of Independence, with the Sivas Congress in 1919 led by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. 
The province has a continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters and is known for thermal springs, the Kangal Dog and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Divriği Great Mosque.
