Usolye Stroganovskoye (Russia)

Usolye Stroganovskoye, located in Russia along the Kama River, is a historical heritage complex founded in 1606 by the influential Stroganov merchant family as a major center for salt production.
For many years, it served as the economic and administrative hub of the Stroganov family’s large-scale salt industry.

It is renowned for its monuments in the Stroganov Baroque style, including the Spasso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral, a striking, noticeably leaning bell tower dating back to 1730, and historic palaces.
Today, this historic site functions as a protected open-air museum and architectural reserve, serving as a reminder of the rich industrial history of the Ural region.
