Flag of Saudi Arabia

The flag of Saudi Arabia is green, featuring the white Islamic declaration of faith (Shahada) in Thuluth script in the center, with a white sword beneath it. 

The text reads: There is no god but Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah. 

Green represents Islam, while the sword symbolizes justice, strength, and the House of Saud. 

Its current design dates from March 15, 1973. 

The flag is identical on both sides, ensuring the text can always be read correctly from right to left. 

Due to the sacred nature of the text, it is never flown at half-mast and is not used on clothing or merchandise.
