Girls aged 5 and older, dressed in white dresses, dance and sing from various neighborhoods to Dorsetplein in the center of Borne.
Each group has a 'Rosa' in a special long dress, who leads the way under a decorated arch with flowers and greenery.
Under a large Whitsun wreath (decorated with flowers and eggs), they form a circle for collective dances and songs such as "Rosa, rosa, bloemen op je hoed" (Rose, rosa, flowers on your hat).
Participants collect candy or money at the doors.
Organized since 1980 by the Borne Folklore Group Foundation, with support from scouts, schools, and local businesses.
Recognized as intangible cultural heritage (UNESCO, 2015).
Attracts hundreds of spectators and tourists annually.
