Every year on the second Saturday after Easter, a large pine tree is brought from the forest and ceremonially planted in front of St. Brigid's Church.
The custom originated in 1634 as a vow to the Irish Saint Brigid to stop a cattle disease and is still organized by the Jonkheid Sancta Brigida.
The event attracts many visitors and has been recognized as intangible cultural heritage.
