Varsity

The Varsity is the oldest and largest student rowing competition in the Netherlands, held on the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal near Houten. 

Every year, around a thousand rowers from universities and colleges compete in various classes (such as men's and women's eights) over 2 kilometers for the coveted Varsity Cup. 

The 141st edition took place on April 5, 2025, with many traditions, such as swimming to the Oude Vier (Old Four) upon victory.
