Luz Station, Brazil

Luz Station (Estação da Luz) in São Paulo, Brazil, is an iconic train station in the Bom Retiro neighborhood, built between 1895 and 1901.
Designed by British architect Charles Henry Driver in the neoclassical style, the station was assembled in Glasgow, disassembled, and rebuilt in São Paulo.
It was crucial to the coffee trade and the main access point to the city in the early 20th century.
The station houses the Museum of the Portuguese Language (since 2006) and is connected to metro lines 1-Blue and 4-Yellow.
After fires in 1946 and 2015, it was restored, but the surrounding neighborhood faces safety concerns.
