Chanukah

Chanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an eight-day Jewish holiday, usually held in December, that commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem in 164 BCE after the Maccabean Revolt against the Seleucids.
The story revolves around the miracle of oil: a small amount of temple oil, enough for one day, miraculously burned for eight days.
Jews celebrate this by lighting a candle each evening on the chanukiah, a special nine-branched candelabra.
Traditions include eating oil-fried dishes such as latkes (potato pancakes) and sufganiyot (doughnuts), playing the dreidel, and giving small gifts.
Chanukkah symbolizes hope, faith, and overcoming adversity.
