King's Day

King's Day is a national holiday in the Netherlands, celebrated on April 27, King Willem-Alexander's birthday (or the day before if it falls on a Sunday).
It is a celebration of solidarity with flea markets, parades, festivals, and orange decorations throughout the country.
The king visits one or more municipalities annually for festivities.
King's Day originates from Princess Day (1885) and became Queen's Day under Queen Wilhelmina, Juliana, and Beatrix, before becoming King's Day in 2014.
It is a day of national pride, with plenty of music, parties, and orange-themed activities.
