Platform Supply Vessel

A platform supply vessel (PSV or OSV), often called a "supplier," is a versatile vessel in the offshore industry. 

It supplies drilling and production platforms with food, spare parts, lubricants, construction materials, and drilling fluids, and removes waste, used oil, and chemicals. 

Sometimes, it transports personnel via a "crew basket." 

Many PSVs are also equipped as rescue vessels (SAR). Some combine supply and anchor handling (AHTS).
