This festive day in Vianen includes horse inspections, ring jousting, a goods and crafts market, and a fair.
The lantern parade on Tuesday evening kicks off the festivities, and there's a Children's Square with activities.
Traditionally, locals eat pea soup, eel, and oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts).
The market, recognized as Dutch intangible cultural heritage since 2013, attracts around 25,000 visitors and is organized by the Horse Market Committee, with support from the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden.
