The annual *festa* (village festival) is celebrated in early August.
It is situated on a plain surrounded by three hills, including Ta' Dbieġi—Gozo's highest point (approximately 195 meters above sea level).
The village boasts a quiet, traditional atmosphere, featuring narrow streets and a photogenic village square.
Dwejra Bay: The world-famous Dwejra Bay lies within the municipality's boundaries.
It is one of Gozo's major tourist attractions, thanks to unique natural phenomena such as the Inland Sea, the Blue Hole, and the striking Fungus Rock.
The iconic rock arch known as the Azure Window (which collapsed in 2017) was also formerly located here.
With a population of just under 800, it is one of Gozo's least populated and most authentic municipalities, where traditional rural life has been preserved.
