White (top band): Traditionally represents peace and prosperity.
Red (middle band): Represents the struggle against foreign invaders and is also the color of Oman's former royal flag.
Green (bottom band): Represents fertility and the green land (the interior and the mountains).
The red vertical band (on the left): Features Oman's national emblem in the upper left corner.
In the red section, you can see Oman's official emblem: a *khanjar* (a traditional Omani curved dagger) in a sheath, crossed with two traditional swords connected by straps.
This symbol represents the country's historical defense and traditions.
