Wind

Wind is the horizontal movement of air in the atmosphere. 

It is caused by differences in air pressure: air flows from areas of high pressure to areas of low pressure. 

These pressure differences are primarily caused by the uneven heating of the Earth by the sun. 

Wind is characterized by: irection (where it comes from, e.g., a west wind). speed (in m/s or km/h, often measured using the Beaufort scale). 

In short: wind is moving air caused by pressure differences.
