Capital: Nanchang (南昌).
Location: Borders Hunan (west), Guangdong (south), Fujian and Zhejiang (east), and Anhui and Hubei (north).
Landscape: Surrounded by mountains, hills, and valleys in the south and east.
To the north lies Poyang Lake (China's freshwater lake) and the plain along the Gan River (the main river flowing from south to north).
Climate: Subtropical humid → hot, humid summers, short, cool winters, high rainfall (1400-1800 mm per year).
Famous for China's porcelain capital: Jingdezhen (over 1,000 years of porcelain production).
Beautiful scenery: Lushan (Mount Lu), Sanqingshan, Longhu Mountain (origin of Taoism), Wuyuan (China's most beautiful countryside with rapeseed fields and autumn colors).
Revolutionary history: Jinggangshan (base of Mao's early communists), Nanchang Uprising (1927 → birth of the People's Liberation Army).
Rich in minerals: copper, tungsten, gold, rare earth metals.
In short: Jiangxi = green mountains & lakes + porcelain + Red Revolution history + beautiful countryside.
A lesser-known, but very beautiful and diverse province!
