Morse Code as a Communications System

Morse Code is a communication system developed in the 1830s by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail, in which characters are represented by combinations of short and long signals (dots and dashes).
It was originally used for telegraphy, where electrical pulses were sent over wires.
Each letter and number has a unique code, such as ... --- ... for "SOS".
Morse Code was crucial in early telecommunications, especially in shipping and aviation, and is still used in amateur radio and emergency situations.
It is simple, reliable, and operates without complex technology, but has been largely superseded by modern communication methods.
