Hiking in the Drunense Dunes

The Drunense Dunes, part of the Loonse en Drunense Dunes National Park in North Brabant, offer excellent hiking opportunities through a unique landscape of drifting sand, heathland, and forests.
The area, also known as the "Brabant Sahara," has several marked hiking trails ranging from 2 to 20 km, such as the Forest and Dune Route (7.5 km) and the Dune Route (11 km).
Starting points such as the Roestelberg or Giersbergen are popular.
Hikers enjoy vast sandy plains, tranquil forests, and viewpoints, with a chance of spotting deer or birds of prey.
The park is easily accessible and has restaurants and cafes such as Herberg De Drie Linden.
