Thungyai-Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife - Thailand

Stretching over more than 600,000 ha along the Myanmar border, the sanctuaries, which are relatively intact, contain examples of almost all the forest types of continental South-East Asia. 
They are home to a very diverse array of animals, including 77% of the large mammals (especially elephants and tigers), 50% of the large birds and 33% of the land vertebrates to be found in this region.

Hunedoara Castle (Castelul Corvinilor)

Hunedoara Castle is a Gothic fortress in Romanian Transylvania. 
The oldest parts of the castle date from the 14th century. 
In the period 1446-1453, the fortress was expanded to its present proportions by the Hunyadi dynasty. 
In the castle are a number of frescoes from the 15th to 17th century.

Shark Bay - Australia

At the most westerly point of the Australian continent, Shark Bay, with its islands and the land surrounding it, has three exceptional natural features: its vast sea-grass beds, which are the largest (4,800 km2) and richest in the world; its dugong (‘sea cow’) population; and its stromatolites (colonies of algae which form hard, dome-shaped deposits and are among the oldest forms of life on earth). 
Shark Bay is also home to five species of endangered mammals.

Serra da Capivara National Park - Brazil

Many of the numerous rock shelters in the Serra da Capivara National Park are decorated with cave paintings, some more than 25,000 years old. 
They are an outstanding testimony to one of the oldest human communities of South America.

Third Mainland Bridge - Nigeria

Third Mainland Bridge is the longest of the three bridges connecting Lagos Island to the mainland, the others being the Eko and Carter Bridges. 
It was the longest bridge in Africa until 1996, when the October 6th Bridge in Cairo was completed.
