Vejle - Denmark

Vejle is a town in Denmark on the Jutland peninsula on the Vejlefjord. 
The town of Vejle is located in the municipality of Vejle and is also the capital of the administrative region of Syddanmark. 
Before 2007, the city was the capital of the province of Vejle.

Ban Chiang Archaeological Site - Thailand

Ban Chiang is considered the most important prehistoric settlement so far discovered in South-East Asia. 
It marks an important stage in human cultural, social and technological evolution. 
The site presents the earliest evidence of farming in the region and of the manufacture and use of metals.

Angkor - Cambodia

Angkor is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. 
Stretching over some 400 km2, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire, from the 9th to the 15th century. 
They include the famous Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations. 
UNESCO has set up a wide-ranging programme to safeguard this symbolic site and its surroundings.

Ujung Kulon National Park - Indonesia

This national park, located in the extreme south-western tip of Java on the Sunda shelf, includes the Ujung Kulon peninsula and several offshore islands and encompasses the natural reserve of Krakatoa. 
In addition to its natural beauty and geological interest – particularly for the study of inland volcanoes – it contains the largest remaining area of lowland rainforests in the Java plain. 
Several species of endangered plants and animals can be found there, the Javan rhinoceros being the most seriously under threat.
