Airlie Beach (QLD)

Airlie Beach is a small, lively resort town on the east coast of Queensland (Australia), in the Whitsunday region.
It is best known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.

A tropical paradise with warm weather all year round, palm trees, white beaches, and a relaxed vibe.
Highlights: Artificial lagoon (Airlie Beach Lagoon) for safe swimming, waterfront promenades, cafes, and bars.
Ideal starting point for sailing trips, snorkeling, diving, and island hopping (including to Whitehaven Beach).
Population: Approx. 1,300 inhabitants, but it attracts many backpackers and tourists.
Surroundings: Close to Conway National Park with rainforest and waterfalls.

In short: a perfect base for adventures on the water and islands, with a relaxed tropical atmosphere.
Very popular with young people and nature lovers!
