Didam Shooting Archery Route

The Didam Shooting Archery Route is an annual cycling tour (not a walking route) of approximately 50 km through Didam and surrounding villages such as Loil, Nieuw-Dijk, Greffelkamp, Oud-Dijk, and (since 2025) Nieuw-Wehl.
The route passes dozens of beautifully decorated shooting arches (honorary arches), built by shooting clubs, hamlets, friends' clubs, and street associations in honor of the kings, queens, and youth of the seven local shooting clubs.

This colorful tradition, which has existed for over 100 years and has been offered as an organized route since around 1995 (the 30th edition in 2025), is included in the Intangible Heritage Inventory of the Netherlands.
The tour takes place during the shooting festival (usually in July, around the second weekend), attracts thousands of cyclists, and combines culture, history, and beautiful scenery.
