Sokoke

The Sokoke, also known as the African Shorthair, is a rare cat breed from the Arabuko Sokoke Forest in Kenya. 

The breed is characterized by a unique, tabby-like coat with little undercoat, an athletic and elegant body, and a life expectancy of 9-15 years. 

Sokokes are intelligent, social, affectionate and have a dog-like personality, making them good with children and other pets. 

They are active, love to hunt and climb and are even good swimmers. 

Grooming is minimal due to their short, thin coat, but dental and ear hygiene are important to prevent health problems.
