Champagne

Champagne is a sparkling wine from the Champagne region of France, made according to the méthode champenoise.
Only wines from this region, produced under strict rules, may bear the name "Champagne".
It is usually made from three grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.
The drink is known for its bubbles, created by a second fermentation in the bottle and is often associated with festive occasions.
Champagne varies in taste from dry (brut) to sweet (doux) and has an alcohol percentage of about 12%.
