Handcycling

Handcycling is a sport in which you use your arms to propel a bicycle instead of your legs, often practiced by people with lower limb disabilities.
It is performed using a handcycle, a three-wheeled vehicle with a crank drive that is operated by the hands. Handcycling is popular as a recreational activity and as a competitive sport, with disciplines including road races and time trials.
It has also been a Paralympic sport since 2004.
The sport promotes physical fitness, endurance and independence, and is often used in rehabilitation programs.
