Almere is a city and municipality in Flevoland, in the polder Zuidelijk Flevoland. 

Almere borders on the landward side to the municipalities of Lelystad and Zeewolde. 

Almere lies on its waterfront on the Gooimeer, IJmeer and Markermeer.
