Burnaby is a 98.60 square kilometer city in British Columbia, directly east of Vancouver.
It was founded in 1892 and obtained the status of city in 1992.
The site is the capital and geographical center of the Greater Vancouver Regional District and had 202,799 inhabitants in 2006.
