Da Ribeira (Riverside) is an old quarter of the Portuguese city of Porto on the river Douro.
Ribeira is a small part of the historical city of Porto (Centro Historico do Porto) which is on the World Heritage List of UNESCO since 1996.
This historic center is made up of the area that was enclosed by the Muralhas Fernandinas (Medieval city walls) and some adjacent areas.
The old town consists of many small alleys and streets, many of which are renovated.
