An airplane or flying machine is an aircraft that is capable of controlled flight through the air.
It uses the upward force, called lift, caused by the air that flows at a certain speed over the special profile of the wing surface.
Almost all also use different types of engines, except gliders, which are first pulled by a motorized aircraft and released at the right time and height and then released by their own gliding power, using thermals (upward air currents).
Furthermore, aircraft are available in single-person formats and in airbus or jumbo formats (multiple-person format).
