Swainsona formosa

This special plant is one of the best known wild plants in Australia.
The blood-red flowers are striking about this plant.
These are leaf-like in shape and have a spherical black heart in the middle.

The Swainsona formosa is found in the arid regions of Australia and is the official flower of the state of South Australia.
The plant is seen as an annual plant, but if you leave it alone (and especially the roots), flowers can bloom again in the following season.
