The historic centre of Shakhrisyabz contains a collection of exceptional monuments and ancient quarters which bear witness to the city's secular development, and particularly to the period of its apogee, under the rule of Amir Temur and the Temurids, in the 15th-16th century.

Historic Centre of Brugge - Belgium

Brugge is an outstanding example of a medieval historic settlement, which has maintained its historic fabric as this has evolved over the centuries, and where original Gothic constructions form part of the town's identity. 
As one of the commercial and cultural capitals of Europe, Brugge developed cultural links to different parts of the world. 
It is closely associated with the school of Flemish Primitive painting.

Cayo (Cayo District)

Kazan Kremlin - Russia

Built on an ancient site, the Kazan Kremlin dates from the Muslim period of the Golden Horde and the Kazan Khanate. 
It was conquered by Ivan the Terrible in 1552 and became the Christian See of the Volga Land. 
The only surviving Tatar fortress in Russia and an important place of pilgrimage, the Kazan Kremlin consists of an outstanding group of historic buildings dating from the 16th to 19th centuries, integrating remains of earlier structures of the 10th to 16th centuries.
