Thai Nguyen Province

Thai Nguyen Province is a province in northeastern Vietnam, near Hanoi (80 km) and serves as a gateway to the northern highlands. 
It has an area of ​​approximately 3,522 km² and a population of approximately 1.35 million, with a mix of 50 ethnic groups, mainly Kinh, Tay and Nung. 
The province is known for its tea plantations, especially Tan Cuong tea, and has a strong industrial base with mining (coal, iron, titanium) and steel production. 
Tourist attractions include Nui Coc Lake, Phuong Hoang Cave and the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups. 
The climate is subtropical with a rainy (May-October) and dry season (October-May). Thai Nguyen is also an educational center with 21 universities and colleges.
