Stone Town of Zanzibar - Tanzania

The Stone Town of Zanzibar is a fine example of the Swahili coastal trading towns of East Africa. 
It retains its urban fabric and townscape virtually intact and contains many fine buildings that reflect its particular culture, which has brought together and homogenized disparate elements of the cultures of Africa, the Arab region, India, and Europe over more than a millennium. 








Singing saw

The singing saw is a musical instrument in the shape of a saw. 
According to the Sachs-Hornbostel classification system for musical instruments, the instrument belongs to the idiophones. The saw is made to sound by tapping the blade or by stroking the edge of the blade with a bow.

Ruins of León Viejo - Nicaragua

León Viejo is one of the oldest Spanish colonial settlements in the Americas. 
It did not develop and so its ruins are outstanding testimony to the social and economic structures of the Spanish Empire in the 16th century. 
Moreover, the site has immense archaeological potential.








Hardap

The Hardap region is one of the 14 administrative regions of Namibia. 
The region's name comes from the Hardap Dam, Namibia's largest reservoir. 
The region extends across the entire width of the country. It borders the Atlantic Ocean to the west and Botswana and South Africa to the east.

Roman Walls of Lugo - Spain

The walls of Lugo were built in the later part of the 3rd century to defend the Roman town of Lucus. 
The entire circuit survives intact and is the finest example of late Roman fortifications in western Europe.










Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra

Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra is one of the twelve regions of Morocco. 
It lies mainly in the disputed territory of Western Sahara: the western part of the region is administered by Morocco and the eastern part by the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic.

Rietveld Schröderhuis (Rietveld Schröder House) - Netherlands

The Rietveld Schröder House in Utrecht was commissioned by Ms Truus Schröder-Schräder, designed by the architect Gerrit Thomas Rietveld, and built in 1924. 
This small family house, with its interior, the flexible spatial arrangement, and the visual and formal qualities, was a manifesto of the ideals of the De Stijl group of artists and architects in the Netherlands in the 1920s, and has since been considered one of the icons of the Modern Movement in architecture.








Pahang

Pahang is one of the thirteen states of Malaysia. 
Pahang is the second largest state in Malaysia after Sarawak.
The state capital is Kuantan, one of the largest cities in the country.

Pantanal Conservation Area - Brazil

The Pantanal Conservation Area consists of a cluster of four protected areas with a total area of 187,818 ha. 
Located in western central Brazil at the south-west corner of the State of Mato Grosso, the site represents 1.3% of Brazil's Pantanal region, one of the world's largest freshwater wetland ecosystems. 
The headwaters of the region's two major river systems, the Cuiabá and the Paraguay rivers, are located here, and the abundance and diversity of its vegetation and animal life are spectacular.








Kagoshima

Kagoshima Prefecture is a Japanese prefecture located on the island of Kyushu. 
Kagoshima covers an area of 9188.41 km² and had a population of approximately 1,719,832 as of October 1, 2008. 
The capital is Kagoshima.
