The pelican (Aristolochia grandiflora)

Aristolochia grandiflora also has a less pleasant odor.
The flower is beautiful and can grow up to 20 to 50 centimeters.
The not so fine scent uses the Aristolochia grandiflora to attract its pollinators.

The pollination process is very special.
The pollinators are held in the calyx of the flower for two days.
The first day the flower is in the female state.
In this condition, the pollinators pollinate the pistils.
The second day, the flower changes to the male state.
The pollinators are powdered with pollen in this state and released again.
After this pollination, the flower wilts and the fruits are formed.
