Tulip

The tulip is a flowering plant in the lily family (Liliaceae), known for its colorful, calyx-shaped flowers. Originally from Central Asia, the tulip was introduced to the Netherlands via Turkey in the 16th century, where it became a cultural and economic symbol.
During the 17th century "tulip mania", tulip bulbs reached astronomical prices.
The Netherlands is still the world leader in tulip production, with millions of bulbs exported each year.
Tulips bloom in spring, vary in color and shape, and are popular in gardens and as cut flowers.
They symbolize spring, love, and beauty.
