Spoonbill Sandpiper - Eurynorhynchus pygmeus
The spoonbill sandpiper is a bird in the sandpipers and snipe family.
The bird is featured in Linnaeus' Systema Naturæ from 1758, the starting point of scientific animal naming.
Linnaeus gave him the name Platalea pygmea, which means dwarf pirate.
