Swakopmund is a coastal town in Namibia at the mouth of the Swakop River in the Atlantic Ocean.
The place is located just like the nearby Walvis Bay in the Erongo region.
Swakopmund has a distinct German character, due to the fact that Namibia was once a German colony.
