Thai Binh

Thai Binh is a coastal province in the Red River Delta of northern Vietnam.
The name means "great peace" in Sino-Vietnamese.
It borders Hai Phong and Hai Duong to the north, Hung Yen and Ha Nam to the west, Nam Dinh to the south, and the East Sea to the east, approximately 110 km southeast of Hanoi.
Known as the "rice granary of the north" for its fertile delta and extensive irrigation system, with two rice harvests per year, agriculture dominates the economy, supplemented by fishing, traditional crafts (such as silverwork in Dong Xam and embroidery in Minh Lang), and natural gas resources.
Culturally rich: birthplace of water puppetry, cheo opera, and famous figures such as the scholar Lê Quý Đôn, founder of the Trần Thủ Độ dynasty, and military figures from the Indochina Wars. Famous attractions include the Keo Pagoda (dating from 1061), Con Vanh Beach, mangrove forests, and more than 2,200 historical sites.
The climate is tropical monsoon: hot summers (May-Oct) and mild winters (Nov-Apr).
