Vanilla custard

Vanilla custard is a dessert that is a custard with the flavor of vanilla. 

The original recipe contains milk, egg yolk and vanilla and some sugar, which creates a slightly thick custard. 

However, the vanilla custard sold in stores is thickened with cornstarch (modified corn starch on the label), given a yellow color with food coloring, and flavored with vanillin and sugar.
