The Silesian Voivodeship is a voivodeship in southern Poland, located on the Czech and Slovakian borders.
The capital is Katowice.
Despite the name Silesia, most of the historical region of Silesia is not located in the Voivodeship, but mainly in the Opole and Lower Silesian Voivodeships.
