Soncoya

The soncoya is a plant of the Annonaceae family. 

It is a tree up to 10 m high with spreading branches, which loses its leaves in dry periods. 

The alternately arranged, up to 30 × 14 cm large leaves are lanceolate and pointed. 

The leaves are hairy reddish brown on both sides.
