Valle d'Aosta

The Aosta Valley, in Italian Valle d'Aosta, in French Vallée d'Aoste, in Valdostano-Arpitan Vâl d'Aoûta, is a mountainous region and province in the extreme northwest of Italy. 

The oldest known name of the region, in Latin, is Vallis Augustana.
