The beach grape or sea grape is a plant from the knotweed family.

It is an evergreen or deciduous in long dry seasons, up to 15 m high, deeply branched, dioecious tree with a short trunk, a broad crown and often horizontal branches.

The plant is resistant to salt and wind.
