5-five-5: Vasco da Gama Bridge

The Vasco da Gama Bridge is a more than 12 km long cable-stayed bridge over the Tagus to the east of Lisbon.

It connects the places Sacavém and Montijo and is named after the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama.

The bridge is the longest bridge in Europe after the Crimean Bridge.
